Project-Based Voucher Waiting Lists
The Project Based-Voucher (PBV) program provides rental assistance at selected apartment properties within the City. Each PBV property has different eligibility requirements such as age, disability, or family-size requirements. Please be sure to read the PBV property descriptions carefully to make sure you qualify for the waiting list that you want to apply for. If admitted into the PBV program, your family must live in the unit that you were selected for.
INSTRUCTIONS:
To submit your rental assistance application, you must provide a valid email address, names, Social Security numbers, and birthdates for all members of your family, home and work address information, and household income.
Veterans (including surviving spouses of veterans) and current members of the armed services are granted a waiting list preference.
Once you complete the application, the system will provide you with a confirmation number. Please write down your Confirmation Number and keep it for future reference. Submit only ONE application. Duplicate applications will not be accepted.

Maintaining Your Status on the Waiting List
If you have a change of address, phone number, income or family size, you must notify us within 10 business days of the change. ALL CHANGES MUST BE IN WRITING and will not be over the phone. Please include your social security number on any correspondence. It is very important that you update us with your latest address at all times. If you do not respond to our notifications, or your letter is returned undeliverable, your name will be removed from the waiting list.
Eligibility
- Head of household must be at least 18 years of age or an emancipated minor.
- Family must have annual income at the time of admission that does not exceed the established income limits for the HCV program, as determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
- Applicant and all adult members of the family must pass a criminal background check if determined income eligible for the program. The following persons are not eligible for housing assistance: (1) Persons who have ever been convicted of manufacturing or producing methamphetamine on the premises of any federally-assisted housing; and (2) any family household member that is subject to a lifetime registration requirement under a state sex offender registration program.
- Applicant and all members of the family must provide documentation of social security numbers for all family members or certify that they do not have social security numbers at the time of initial eligibility interview.
- The Applicant or any member of the family may not owe any debt to AHA or any other housing authority. Exceptions can be granted if the applicant is current on a repayment agreement or the debt has been cured through a court action.
